Legal Services of Eastern Missouri names 2020 Common Good Awardees

Eight Individuals, Firms and Organizations To Be Honored

ST. LOUIS –Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, the area’s largest nonprofit law firm, will honor eight individuals, firms and organizations for their service on behalf of clients and the community. The “For The Common Good” awards recognize exceptional contributions to help insure equal access to justice for all members of the community.

Receiving the 2020 awards are: Tom Minogue, Thompson Coburn LLC. (Robert Walston Chubb Award for lifetime commitment); David H. Menninger (Richard B. Teitelman Community Service Award);  Arnold & Porter and Public Counsel (Melton M. Louis Equal Justice Award); Wellston Tenant Association (Eddie Mae Binion Community Service Award); Vannah Shaw, St. Louis County Justice Service (John R. Essner Young lawyer of the Year Award); Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P. C. (Gerald R. Ortbals Law Practice Award); Stuart Berkowitz (F. Wm. McCalpin Pro Bono Award); and Jacob Barker (Media Award)

The awards presentation will be presented virtually on Thursday, August 27, 2020 and will be hosted by former awardee Chris Nagus (KMOV).
